I saw something on the Today show... it was showing 100 cal. portions of various things. Did you know that you can eat 2 cups of salsa vs 1/2 cup of ketsup vs 2 Tablespoons of Mayo for 100 calories? That's REDICULUS!!! I will NEVER buy mayo again! Yuck! So, along with that 100 calorie deal, I was at the store and I saw that Special K has a 90 cal. cerial bar. I thought it was going to be one of these deals where A) it tastes like a toothpick and B) there's more to a toothpick. But I was surprized, this was an outright real portion! Added bonus, they are YUMMY!!! Go now and buy the Special K Bars! Well, now that I'm done with my advertizing for a company that gives me absolutly nothing in return (in fact, they will probably sue me for using their name....) I will tell you about my week. It was GREAT! I feel like I'm starting to get into some good habits. I've learned that Pita bread doesn't keep in my fridge for more than 2 days, but it freezes really well and thaws in about 20 seconds (if not less) I'm having issues with keeping green things in stock, but I'm getting that down, too. My neighbor gave me a GREAT vegetarian cookbook and I'm taking recipes from that for my lunches. I'm going to do a "Leek Soup Detox" (again, from the Today Show...) this next week. Added bonus: I think my skin is getting healthier. My one ordeal this week: My mom came down, so we "had" to go out to lunch... I'm pretty proud to say that I suggested a place where I knew I could get something healthy. I had a nice salad, mixed fruit, cottage cheese, a small serving of potatoes and steamed veggies, not bad at all when I did the calorie calculations! So, that's my week and my plans. I'm off to check in!
