What a Weekend!

Wow, what a test of my self-control! This weekend started out fine on the eating front... I portioned out some salads and really paid attention to what I was eating on Saturday. Sunday is when all Hell broke loose! My partner decided that our daughter's chest congestion needed more attention than an extra inhaler puff, so he took her into Urgent Care. Since she has chronic pneumonia, the docs there are pretty used to us. Her oxygen levels weren't where they should have been, so off to the hospital they went. I met up with them there and we had to stay overnight. I am a nervous eater, so this was one hell of a test..... I passed, though. My partner offered to pick up a pizza for supper, but insead, I ate a grilled cheese sandwich from the hospital cafeteria (they actually have pretty good food there...). Monday I had a salad from the cafeteria (a normal sized one, too... no cheese, just vegies and crutons!) I had my first doc appt on Monday, too, so I left my daughter in the care of Grandma and Grandpa and met up with the Doc. I got my referal to the nutritionist, so that was good. I also got my blood drawn to check for: Lime's Disease, Rhumatoid Arthritis, and an auto-imune disorder indicator... I'm hoping for a negative on all fronts. I also had a lower back x-ray... it seems as though I have a pretty big "sway back" or curve in my lower spine, so they wanted to check it out more to see if it was something that needs more attention or not. Well, that's where things are for right now... I'm keeping on track so far!
